NHV Staff Update

We welcome Angela Moriarty to our team at Netball Hutt Valley for the upcoming season. Ange will be supporting the delivery of netball competitions, and office duties in 2023.

Jaimee (myself) will be taking on the Community Development Officer role & admin duties throughout the season, and Sandra will lead our team in the Community Centre Manager role.

Lynnie is taking a year off to support her children in the endeavours overseas.

Ange will be using the office@netballhuttvalley.co.nz email & will be in touch when required.

Umpire Courses

• We strongly encouraged all schools to send coaches/managers/umpires/ older siblings along to the umpire courses this season.
• It is a great opportunity for participants to get a better understanding of the rules & application/ interpretation to ensure everyone is prepared for the upcoming season.
• Dates: Tuesday 2^nd May, Thursday 4^th May, Monday 8^th May, Wednesday 10^th May
• Time: 6pm – 7.30pm

Whistlers Programme

• Registrations are open online
• The programme is for novice umpires from year 7 upwards (including adults)
• This programme is delivered during term time commencing Saturday 13^th May & runs till early August
• Participants must commit to attending each session: Saturdays 8am – 9am, umpires room Taita Netball Courts.

Under 16 pre-trial skills sessions

• Ideal for players who are interested in standing for the NHV Representative programme in 2023. These sessions will be delivered by the representative coaches.
• Dates: Wednesday(s) 5^th, 12^th, 19^th April

• Club & Secondary school coaches are invited along to observe sessions if they wish.

Under 16 Representative Trials

• Players who are born in 2007, 2008 are welcomed to register for the representative trials. Please note players who register to trial must be affiliated to a NHV club or school in 2023.
• Sunday 23^rd April 10am – 12pm, Wednesday 26^th April 6pm – 8pm, Sunday 30^th April 2pm – 4pm

Under 18 Representative Trials

• Sunday 30^th April 12pm – 2pm, Wednesday 3^rd May 6pm – 8pm

Atiawa  Toa FM Tournament

• Registrations are open online
• Grades: college, senior A – C

Season Starter Coaching Workshop

• For all student & novice adult coaches to attend. This workshop will be delivered in four components: Season/Session Planning, Player Development, Player Welfare, What’s next?
• If your school has any new or inexperienced coaches we suggest inviting them to attend this session.
